Following the discussions in the BSB paddock, Chassis Factory has taken up the challenge to develop a modular GP2 concept that could run alongside the existing BSB Supersport championship.

Based on this, Chassis Factory proudly presents its frame kit. The Chassis Factory “Chrome” frame kit.

With this frame kit we offer an affordable and reliable concept, accessible to all teams that want to step up to this level.

The other parts such as wheels, front suspension, brake parts and fairing were used from the existing Supersport machine. Because this concept will be raced using standard, widely available and relatively affordable crash parts instead of exotic, expensive and difficult to obtain parts, the transition to this class becomes more attractive.

The Chassis Factory GP2 frame is made of chrome-moly tubing. It is very robust and stiff, making it very responsive. Because the frame is equipped with an adjustable headset and swingarm axle, the kit has the same geometry options as a grand prix motorcycle.

After the first season of the British GP2 Championship, Chassis Factory offers the GP2 “Chrome light” concept for the 2019 season. The concept development out of the 2018 frame kit "Chrome".

Weight reduction as main starting point The main challenge in the development of the new “Chrome Light” kit was weight reduction compared to the standard stock frame. The weight of the frame is reduced by as much as 20% and with the swing arm, developed by Chassis Factory, even a 35% weight advantage is achievable compared to the standard.

To make this possible, the kit is supplied with a matching link system developed by Chassis Factory. This linear link system offers perfect road handling in cooperation with a customized K-Tech DDS Pro rear shock. The link system offers a wide range of setup possibilities in combination with the adjustable pivot of the swingarm in the frame. The weight reduction also changes the weight distribution of the motorcycle compared to the stock one. Due to the handmade aluminum Chassis Factory fuel tank, the center of gravity is lower and we can influence the weight distribution. In addition, the tank is also narrower for less air resistance.

Just like the 2018 "Chrome" kit, the "Chrome Light" kit still makes it possible to fit all types of Supersport or Superstock engine blocks. Important to know is that all aftermarket racing parts such as fairings, footrest sets and the like can be used in combination with the frame kit. If required, Chassis Factory can, in consultation with the team, also supply a rolling chassis. We have the possibility to equip the frame kit with K-Tech cartridges and OZ wheels.

Over the past four seasons, the frame kit has proven itself with various race victories and several podium finishes, ultimately winning the 2023 British Gp2 Championship.

This concept leaves teams free in their choices and they can put together a bike that is in line with their capabilities, budget and sponsor possibilities. Contact us to discuss the possibilities: contact@chassisfactory.nl contact@chassisfactory.nl

An aluminium fuel tank for endurance racing is a type of fuel tank made of aluminium that is specifically designed for long-distance motorcycle racing.

These tanks are built to be lightweight, durable and able to withstand the rigors of long-term use in demanding conditions. Here are some key features and benefits of aluminium motorcycle fuel tanks:

  • Lightweight: Aluminium is a lightweight material that is important for performance and handling in endurance racing. A lighter fuel tank reduces the overall weight of the motorcycle and can contribute to better handling and fuel efficiency.
  • Durability: Aluminium is known for its durability and resistance to corrosion. This makes it a suitable material for endurance racing where motorcycles may be exposed to harsh conditions.
  • Customization: Aluminium is a safer material for fuel containment compared to some other materials because it is less likely to shatter or crack in a crash.
  • Safety: Aluminium is een veiliger materiaal voor het insluiten van brandstof in vergelijking met sommige andere materialen, omdat het minder snel zal versplinteren of barsten bij een crash.
  • Improved handling: The fuel tank placement can be optimized to improve the motorcycle's center of gravity and handling characteristics. This can be especially important in races where precise control is required.
  • Fuel capacity: Some fuel tanks are designed with quick-fill systems or other features to streamline the fueling process during pit stops.
  • Fueling efficiency: Some fuel tanks are designed with quick-fill systems or other features to streamline the fueling process during pit stops.

In addition, the design and installation of such tanks must comply with safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the safe storage of fuel and minimize the risk of leaks or spills. Riders and teams involved in endurance racing therefore work with Chassis Factory to design and manufacture a suitable fuel tank for their specific needs.

A superbike swingarm, also called a swingarm, is a crucial part of a motorcycle's rear wheel suspension system.

It plays a crucial role in supporting the rear wheel and allowing it to move vertically in response to bumps and irregularities in the road, while maintaining stability during acceleration, braking and cornering.

The swingarm typically connects the rear wheel to the motorcycle frame. It is designed to pivot at one end, usually attached to the frame, and support the rear wheel at the other end. The movement of the swingarm is controlled by the motorcycle's suspension system, which may include shock absorbers and springs. This allows the rear wheel to move up and down to absorb shock and maintain the tire's contact with the road surface for better traction and handling.

Superbikes are powerful motorcycles designed for racing and sports riding. They often have advanced swingarm designs to improve handling, stability and traction. These swingarms are typically made of lightweight and strong materials such as aluminium to reduce weight and improve the bike's handling.

In summary, the superbike swingarm is a crucial component that influences the handling and performance of a motorcycle, and is designed to balance the need for stability, traction and responsiveness in high-performance riding situations.

The research and development (R&D) of the Superbike swing arm is a systematic process in which Chassis Factory researches, designs and creates new constructions or improves existing products. This process is essential for innovation, to remain competitive and to meet the changing demands of motorsport.
